Dennis is CEO of Feedback Labs, a global network of over 300 aid, philanthropy, and governance organizations dedicated to creating a new operating system for social good that puts 3 questions front and center: What do regular people want to make their lives better? Are we helping them get it? If not, what should we do differently?
Previously, he co-founded and was CEO of GlobalGiving, the first global crowdfunding website, which has mobilized $270 million for over 17,000 projects in 170 countries, fueled by hundreds of thousands of individual donors and 190 leading companies and foundations. Prior to GlobalGiving, Dennis was an economist at the World Bank, where he worked in Indonesia, Russia, Papua New Guinea, and Niger on agriculture, housing reform, energy efficiency, structural adjustment, and innovation. Dennis has also worked at USAID and the Asian Development Bank, and has served as Executive Chairman of Ashoka Changemakers, Visiting Lecturer at Princeton University, Professor of the Practice and Entrepreneur in Residence at UNC-Chapel Hill, Visiting Scholar at NYU, and Visiting Fellow at the Center for Global Development. He is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar, and the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton.
