Echo joined the Rapid Results Institute in May 2016 to work on the People Powered Results project with Nesta in the UK. She currently leads our programme supporting Mexico's Justice System reform in partnership with MSI's Projusticia. She also leads our efforts in Participative Governance in Dominican Republic in collaboration with the World Bank and Instituto Técnologico de Santo Domingo (INTEC).
Echo joined RRI from the coordination team for the Joint Learning Network for Universal Health Coverage (JLN), a peer-to-peer learning platform for policymakers and payers in low- and middle-income countries striving to finance universal coverage of their populations’ health care needs. This work led Echo to launch a Collaborative of ten countries including countries such as India, Nigeria and Indonesia aiming to make their medical audits systems' more effective. Echo has facilitated meetings for the JLN in India, Morocco, and South Korea.
She is the former country manager of ACCESS Health Morocco. She launched ACCESS Health International in Morocco in 2013. She spent three years developing local partnerships to identify and address the most pressing and addressable health needs in Morocco, designing projects, researching, brainstorming, and fundraising. Prior to that Echo worked on AIDS projects in India and Tanzania and as a translator and researcher.
Echo has a first class degree with honours from University College London and a Master’s in Development, Globalization, and Gender from the London School of Economics and Political Science. In addition to English, Echo is fluent in Catalan, French, Italian and Spanish and has been learning Moroccan Arabic.
