Sean Whitten

Sean joined the RRI team in 2016, coming from WestCare California where he was responsible for the development and implementation of their Housing Services Department and had direct oversight and responsibility of multiple housing projects, which included both Emergency Solutions Grant and Permanent Supportive Housing HUD-funded programming.

Sean served as the Chair of the Fresno Madera Continuum of Care Coordinated Entry Committee and was the local co team-lead in building out the communities Coordinated Assessment and Housing Placement (CAHP) System. He worked closely with both the City and County of Fresno and the Fresno Housing Authority on program implementation and project management.

Prior to his work in Housing Services, Sean also worked as a Job Developer for WestCare California and the Fresno Career Development Institute working with high risk parolees and employers in the community. He also served as the Health and Fitness Director for the Central YMCA of San Francisco.

Sean served as an AmeriCorps member from 1995-1997 and was responsible for coordinating the recruitment activities in a ten-state region. Sean attended San Francisco State University and currently resides in Oroville, CA.
